Welcome to G4PACS

G4PACS is a complete Picture Archiving and Communication System that lets your radiology department acquire, read, store and share medical images on-premise, in the cloud, or both.

Designed for hospitals of every size, G4PACS connects your CT, MR, DR, ultrasound, mammography and PET-CT modalities to fast diagnostic workstations and a secure long-term archive. Referring physicians view images from any PC, tablet or phone using nothing more than a web browser.

Over 140 installations in 11 countries trust G4PACS to deliver the right image to the right person at the right time.

One system. Four components.

G4PACS is delivered as a single integrated product. Every component is installed, configured and supported by G4 Medical Systems engineers.

ComponentWhat it does
Archive & VNAVendor-neutral DICOM archive with NVMe short-term cache on-premise and S3-compatible object storage in the cloud for long-term retention and disaster recovery. Priors are pre-fetched automatically when a patient is scheduled in the RIS.
Diagnostic WorkstationMulti-monitor reading with hanging protocols, MPR, 3D volume rendering, cine, measurements and an AI-prioritised worklist. Opens a 2,000-slice CT study in under 2 seconds.
HTML5 Web ViewerZero-footprint viewer for wards, clinics and referring physicians. Nothing to install; runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on desktops, tablets and phones, inside or outside the hospital.
Teleradiology & AI NEW!Encrypted routing of studies to remote readers and third-party AI algorithms, with results and reports returned to the RIS or EHR over HL7 or FHIR.

Why hospitals choose G4PACS

  • Hybrid deployment: on-premise, cloud, or both
  • DICOM and DICOMweb (QIDO, WADO, STOW)
  • HL7 v2 and FHIR integration to RIS / EHR
  • Zero-footprint HTML5 viewer on any device
  • AI-ready: plug in third-party algorithms
  • Runs on Linux, Docker and Kubernetes
  • AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit
  • Single sign-on with SAML and OpenID Connect
  • HIPAA and GDPR compliant audit trail
  • Scales from one clinic to a multi-site network
  • Built-in disaster recovery to the cloud tier
  • 24/7 remote monitoring and support
Did you know? Over 80% of a hospital's image archive is older than two years and rarely opened. Moving that tier to the cloud with the G4PACS hybrid archive typically cuts storage costs by 40% while keeping recent studies on fast local disks.
"We migrated twelve years of studies to the hybrid archive in six weeks without a minute of downtime. Our radiologists read locally, and the cloud tier gave us disaster recovery we never had before." — CIO, 420-bed teaching hospital. Name and institution withheld at the customer's request, in line with their data protection policy.

The hybrid approach

Not every hospital wants everything in the cloud, and not every hospital wants to run its own servers. G4PACS lets you choose per component, and change your mind later without migrating a single study.

DeploymentWhere images liveBest for
On-premiseEverything on your own servers or private cloudSites with strict data-residency rules or limited bandwidth
CloudArchive, viewer and workstations hosted by G4PACSImaging centres and clinics with no IT staff
Hybrid NEW!Recent studies on fast local storage, long-term archive and disaster recovery in the cloudMost hospitals: local speed, cloud economics, no single point of failure
